In this multi-modal text, I want to engage with non-academic, educated social audiences who are also interested in Chinese doctors’ working environment. They include: parents, classmates and social people with non-medical occupation. No matter how well I know these people, they have something in common that they are not professionals, and didn’t researched on this topic deeply as I did, however, are all curious and normal people like me.

Based on this fact, I used a poster as my language, for it’s quite easy understanding in limited time. In the text, I consider my genre as an argument, combined with phenomenon analysis. And for the media I used, It’s a convenient software called Procreate, in which I could draw a picture digitally and easily post it on the internet media, then everyone could simply have access to. Unfortunately, due to the COVID epidemic, we couldn’t go back to campus offline, so maybe internet is the only venue we could utilize this time. However, we could still interact and appreciate each others’ texts online, exchanging ideas on the same topic.

The content of the text is briefly about the heavy working load and long working hours suffering normal Chinese doctors, and meanwhile, some irrational patients causing working safety problems. It is designed with both picture-a man holding a clock in the center, and slogan at the bottom of the whole text to state my claim: save Chinese doctors’ working environment.  Through this text, I’m aiming to to tell readers the true working environment Chinese doctors are facing nowadays. And further more, motivate the society to improve the current situation.  

 Although I made the text carefully, I still suffer from some limitations on the creation, for a static painting is not so interactive for readers, not as good as a kinetic video. Meanwhile, my level of drawing isn’t very good, so the painting seems a bit awkward. Moreover, I could think of my unintended audiences as professional medical workers, for the text might strike a chord in their heart.
