Generally speaking, the audience I want to engage with would be educated non-specialists who have interests in the field of education. They could be a student, a middle school teacher or someone who have interests in this topic. They may not know exactly how AI would change education in China if it is applied into it. Also, they do not know the details and principles of this technology. Therefore, it would be difficult for them to read a 7-page scholarly articles. So, I want to just choose one very meaningful benefit of it to show that applying AI into education would be a great thing for students. Additionally, I want to emphasize my worldview that there should not be educational inequality in the world. What’s more, I want to make my ‘text’ more interesting and acceptable for my audience, so I choose to make a video.
In the video, I use some vivid pictures with narration to make it easier to understand. The language and words I use are simple because I want the audience to comprehend the video quickly. First of all, I would provide the audience with some background information that many students from poor areas in China could not get good education, which prevents them from realizing their dreams. This would raise audience’s sympathy for them, and they would want to do something to change this situation. Then, I would show them that when AI is applied into education, they could help solve this problem. It could break the barriers of time and areas. All the students, no matter where you come from, could all listen to a good teacher’s lessons. So, they would feel that AI education would be a great thing for those students. Finally, I mention that AI education would be the future trend and next era of education to give audience more thoughts and leave some space for some further discussions.
The potential venue of my video would be social media and some video websites in order to make more people see it. Also, I would add some links to other videos to connect them with my video in order to make some further discussions about this topic. The affordance of my video is to raise more people’s awareness of the benefits of AI education. I think this video could be an inspiration or a start for all the people to begin to make efforts to realize AI education in the future.
